Ironclad as a project is on the process of moving completely from Savannah to Codeberg, an up and coming european code hosting platform that aims to compete with GitHub.
I deeply appreciate the service that the folks at Savannah have provided to us and many projects like us over the past almost 2 decades, but times are moving, and Savannah I feel has struggled to keep up. Its UI, and uptime issues have been cited several times among prospective Ironclad developers as a big pain point in the process of submitting changes to the Ironclad project. We choose Codeberg as a great FOSS non-profit european alternative that allowed us to avoid self-hosting.
As part of the moving, we have established our own blog service, with its own RSS feed, as to provide an alternative to Savannah’s RSS and news system. We are also moving away from the existing mailing lists to other methods of communication that one can find at our site’s community tab.
We expect to post way more in the project’s blog than we did on our Savannah feed, so keep an eye on that!
